Hear! Hear!Your moderation staff should go through some type of training. They don’t even know they’re own rules. Maybe you need to give me weekly exams? Then when you tell them that they’re wrong they ban you without a reason. I think some mods here also have a different set of rules. It’s funny how we communicate with a mod in this thread and he doesn’t say anything then the other comes in and bomb everything and locks us out, bans people etc. Also all recommend posting in private help but when you do it gets deleted? What’s up with that? It’s literally no chance at winning here, so PB is out and done with this thread. Maybe done with the forum as well because this thread is only reason I’m here.Okuma
Your mod staff seems to believe links from classifieds are not allowed at all.
Or that if someone links a classified, and someone else in here says "that's too much, you can buy that gun new over here at xxxxxxx.com" then they are "bashing" it.
I understand not trashing someones classifieds. But you can't on the one hand say that it's up to buyers to do their own research on an item, then not allow them to ask the group here if it's a deal or not.
How is a buyer supposed to be informed if anything remotely negative is deleted here? Do you want them to go to another web forum to ask questions about it?
I don’t have a great answer for that. The site was created first and foremost for people to be able to list their items without harassment so I have to give that goal priority over being able to bash ads. When questions are asked with direct links to ads it leads to them getting piled on by a group of people and running people off.
Maybe if someone genuinely has a question they can post about itwithout directly linking to the ad? Keep it vague and there won’t be a problem.
33 warnings here... Take a guess who wrote the majority up....?
I looked and you have many warnings from Dankatl, timbtm, and ken Ford, and also a few from Joab, and that’s just from 2019. Maybe everyone is against you, but also maybe you push the boundaries of the rules very frequently, it seems at least four different mods thought so.

We tried that, and those posts were scrubbed. We tried PMs, and people got banned for things said in PMs.
I understand that you are trying to salvage probably the most viewed non-R-rated thread on ODT, but over-moderation killed it, and we just do not trust for it not to happen again.
