Reloading some 45acp's tonite, I found several drilled out, oversized flash holes. they are about 1/8" dia. Guessing someone drilled them for a special use, wondering, are they safe to use in normal loads?

I would use them without hesitation.
unless they are just crazy over sized I would likely use them.

I use them all the time. No problem. Use them.
What do you mean You use them all the time? Brass does not come with flash holes four times as big as original factory size. Why would you drill out the holes? And flash holes have a standard size, and should not be smaller or larger. I have a hunch these were drilled for some kind of special purpose.
I have drilled some out when I make 308 subs but not anything else
