My only disagreement - this one is already a classic in that the prices have remained fairly high and continue to climb.

In the future many of these will have to be rescued/restored from the 26" wheel/bowling ball paint crowd.
I was about to say the same thing. I have a good friend way out in Jones Co close to Monticello with this same Monte Carlo and he goes to car shows with it. And it has an antique tag. So I'd say it's already a classic.

there are alot of people around here that would rather see their
car/truck/motorcycle rot outside in the weather than go to a
good home
No. What they dont want to see is a flipper make $10 K in a week
Most buyers don't want the car to fix up. They just want to flip it for a fat profit by getting it cheap from someone who doesn't know it's gone way up in value in the last few years

Or worse
I sold a classic car a couple years ago
A 66 thunderbird landau
Found out later the guy I sold it to ripped the engine out and crushed the rest

If I had known that's what he was gonna do I would have never sold it to him
Or anyone else. Wish I had just parked it and let it rot
