g42 preferred carry over g43?

So, I am curious if you would prefer the slightly smaller frame and around 4 ounces lighter singlestack glock .380 (which Is also a more expensive, under powered round) over the singlestack glock 9mm (both being same capacity)? I have seen several peeps want the g42 even with the g43 on the market now. Why? (Just curious the reasoning, not opposed to it)

The 43 is small, but the 42 is even smaller. The 42 could be easily pocket-carried. I've also read many people don't like shooting the 43 very much. Snappy from what I've read.

My GF has the 42 and I have a 43. I'll be honest, there is a pretty noticeable size/weight difference. The 42 is a legit pocket gun for me. I've tossed it in my cargo pocket and forgot it was there before. Beyond that, the 43 is as small as I want to carry EDC. Small enough, light enough and thin enough to be considerably more comfortable than my G19.

IMO the 42 is great for women that want a light and small purse gun or carry pistol and good for guys that just literally want to toss it in a pocket and go. It is what it is, a small caliber, CQF weapon. Not meant for an extended gun battle or other such activities.

Yeah, I do not find it to be snappy. Of course, felt recoil varies with each person. Now, I will say the g42 has significant less felt recoil regardless.

Just got a new 42 and like it pretty well. Have to load it with hot ammo though. It just refuses to cycle with standard pressure rounds.

I have both and just love the 42. I will also carry a 26 or 27 owb when I am wearing a jacket but there is literally no excuse to not carry when you have a 42. I have a great kydex holster from Gearcraft and I can carry in gym shorts and t shirt and never ever notice it.

that's not a good sign for a glock. I've only fired two g42's but they ate everything we ran through them. I'd take it to glock.

I've had a few dozen come through & owned several that we use in classes.
Never seen any difference in reliability among rounds.
They've always fed everything that could be loaded in them including the junk Monarch rounds.
