PLEASE HELP!!!!

About seven years ago. I applied for my GCWP, and was denied. I receivied a letter for the probate court a couple of months later. It stated that I was denied because of a juvenile marijuana possessition charge. I was 15 yrs old. i will be 30yrs. in a few months. I was adjudicated of a felony marujuana charge. to my knowlage, that means I was not convicted but not aquitted. I can buy as many guns as i want from an ffl dealer with no hold at all!!! I have purchased 30 plus firearms with no prob. Q: If I reapply for my permit will i get denied again? I know the laws have changed in the past couple of years. I just dont want to waste $80.00 if im going to get the middle finger again!!

CAN ANYONE ANSWER?????

Since the passage of SB308 a misdemeanor marijuana charge only denies a GWL application if it occurred within 5 years of the application. Assuming your conviction was a misdemeanor charge it will not result in a denial now since it was greater than 5 years ago. SB308 passed in large part due to Georgiacarry.org and the efforts of that organization so I highly encourage you to thank them and support them in expanding our 2nd Amendment rights. Other frequently asked questions regarding our 2nd Amendment rights can be found on their FAQ section of the website here http://www.georgiacarry.org/cms/geor...ked-questions/

If it was a felony charge I recommend you read and follow the advice found here http://www.georgiapacking.org/forum/...p?f=15&t=38704
