Hmm... a random number generator? I see there's a website for that.

You just set the range (say, from 1 to 85 if there are 85 posts in this thread) and let it pick the number for you.
Then I assume the "winner" is the person whose post number (yours is #33, Cobalt 60, that I'm replying to) matches the random number?
I'd still have to check every post in the thread to make sure the winner didn't post more than once.
If the winner DID post more than once, but not to enter but just to comment on something in here, would that have to mean disqualification? Or would only posts after the first one be void and of no effect, while his or her first post in this thread is the one that counts and might "win" if it matched the random number?
If the RNG returned a number for a void post number, I'd have to get a second random number and try again.
It's a lot to think about.
I'll keep it in mind if this thread gets too long for the writing-names-on-paper method to be practical.
