I've done all the searches, but nothing pops up. But I thought there might be a hidden Mom and Pop place that was good but off the radar.

Cumming has a German / Austrian / Swiss restaurant called
Gasthaus Tirol, right along Hwy 9 (Atlanta Rd.). I've been there several times, and it's very good.

Youre about 20 years too late. Chef Wolfgangs has been closed for a long time but was really good. There's a great German restaurant in Stone Mountain, but I don't recall the name. Girasoles in Watkinsville isn't German by any means, but I wouldn't bet against him being able to pull it off.
Do not go to Helen for German food if you want Authentic.
Der Biergarten in ATL is the closest that I've had to genuine authenticity when it comes to German food if I dont make it myself.
