I’ve been thinking about replacing by golden retriever that died of cancer 6 years ago with a German Shepard. It’s probsbly the second most loyal breed.

I know a guy who has a Shepard, every time I ring the doorbell he starts barking and scares the sheeeet out of me. Once I enter the home, and the owner says I'm ok, he licks me til I shoo him away, .

I love dogs. They are part of the family, and the first line of defense because of their absolute loyalty. Dumb brutes. Man I love 'em.

My Mastiff is a smart, sweet girl. A total goofball...Unless she doesn't know you. If you are a stranger she is absolutely dangerous. A hostile, man eating, fire breathing demon if she doesn't know you. She has been this way since she was a puppy, and there is no correcting it. God have mercy on your soul if you try to approach my son in her presence. But to me she is nothing more than a slobbering fool. I love that stinking beast.

I have seen trained Shepherds do things I could not believe.
