I made a set of "ballistic ropes" (battle ropes) and they will flat out kick your ass after a few minutes.
Well my favorite workout is a bit out of my range right now. I need to get into better shape. Do three sets of a specific exercise then jump on the treadmill and sprint hard for 30 seconds. Then go do another exercise and hop back on the treadmill for another 30 seconds. It has to be hard sprinting though. Getting your HR up to about 80-90% of max HR. It will kick your butt and help you increase your calorie burn during workouts, as well as your EPOC (Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption). EPOC is a metabolic factor that is largely affected by working out. It's really my own variation of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) mixed in with weights.
