Some of y'all may recall me taking this perfectly good made in Japan Smith and Wesson model 1000 P and hacking it up a while back. Well since then I've been working on the home made pistol grip with a wood rasp and a 3M sanding block.
There was a plastic S&W emblem on the bottom of the grip area but it had to come off once I hit it with the Dremel a few times. Underneath it were two holes that it was stuck into. One made a fine point for a swivel stud. There is a hand written 73 there too which I assume was the date. I may leave that exposed. Pretty much all that's left is to finish sanding the rough spots and try to match the color of the fore grip.
I did manage to score me a two round extension for m Choate. They're probably the last company around with any accessories for these guns. They sent a barrel/ tube clamp along with it that has a sling swivel on one side.
Overall I think it looks kinda retro badass. I dig cut down shotguns with vent rib barrels. I may add a True Glow type front sight . How bout a flashlight? Is that too Tactical for this project?
