Glock 42 Image

Carrying ANY gun in the pocket is a risky proposition without some form of trigger control/.protection. My P3AT is never without the Mic style holster whether I am carrying it in a pocket or the wife has it in her purse. Hell, once I even tried carrying it slung around my neck by a piece of paracord, but even with the Mic holster, having it dangling down my chest pointing right up at my chin made my skin crawl. LOL!

SIG P238. Lightweight, compact, uber-reliable, and features a crisp SA trigger and full-sized tritium night sights. There is no better subcompact .380 available IMO.

While I agree that the P238 is a great gun, I would be hesitant to carry a gun that is SAO in my pocket...This coming from a guy who carries a 1911 IWB cocked and locked every day.

Yep, the first rule of pocket carry is a good pocket holster. The second rule of pocket carry is nothing else in the pocket but the gun and holster. Failure to follow these rules may result in getting your Jimmy shot off.

Great gun, but thumbs down from me on the cocked and locked pocket carry.

Yeah, I admit, I wasn't thinking pocket carry when I posted the 238. I was thinking reliable .380 and "pocket sized". The only gun I've carried holster-less in a pants pocket was a 642 Airweight that I had for many years. But the 238 and other similar sized .380's and 9mm's disappear easily IWB under a t-shirt or sweatshirt so pocket carry isn't really an issue for me anymore. But no I would not pocket carry a cocked and locked pistol.

I'm having a hard time accepting that Glock would allow this info to leak. Plus I would imagine they would have set the LCP up on the table and designed a gun that size.
