Glock 42 Image

Tens of thousands of souls have been delivered to their deities by the .380 aka 9mm Kurtz over the last century. I have no problem depending on my skills AND a smaller or less potent caliber if needed. It's about mindset and abilities not "pillow cases". I would rather have a pocket knife....

Probably not, but ammo is more expensive for 380

Availability of ammo and the dependability of the current crop of "pocket guns" are the biggest factor IMO. Most people that go on about a .380 simply don't have the experience and training (or the simple trigger time) to do so in a convincing manner. Smaller caliber cartridges (in the right load) delivered in the appropriate manner, kill people very single day of the year and they have done that for well over a half a century if not far longer. It's not about "badassness", it is simply fact. I would consider anything that presented themselves as a threat, enough to respond too, a threat until they were no longer moving or I was out of the AO (along with my family).

with all the great pocket 9s,.380 has definitely lost a lot of its market appeal.
and sure .380 is must more inferior ballistics wise.
but do you really think someone will just shake off a couple shot to the chest?

I garauntee a few months after it's announced / released, Lone Wolf will have a 9mm conversion kit with mag. Do y'all can have you single stack 9mm Glock. :)

I fully expect someone to shake off two COM from my .40. Way to much evidence showing that handgun calibers aren't going to smite someone like the Hammer of Thor. I would rather have a tactical shotgun loaded with 00 buck. Unfortunately they aren't as easy to carry in civilian life than a handgun.
