Nope...new rods are a larger diameter.

Top is the Gen 4 two-piece.
Bottom is the Gen 1-3 one-piece rod.

Tks I needed the visual image to clearly understand. and ref to getting the additonal bushing. If I take a bunch of them over to Glock, can they do the trick that b.a.customkydex suggests. tks again

no its an after market item that you will have to order from another company.

Okay are the 27 and the 30 the only g2's or g3's that this applies too?

If I remember correctly that all the baby Glocks 40 and larger got the dual spring set up and it was needed to get them to cycle properly.

When the gen 4 was introduced they tried to make one spring set-up work in the full-size 9 and 40 but soon learned that was a no go. The 9 wouldn't cycle properly due to the heavy spring needed in the 40.

I personally don't like the dual spring set up its harder to tune springs to a load. And if you shoot production division in USPSA you can't use a bushing and single spring setup because it can be seen from the exterior and its not a factory available part.
