Ok. Things I know for sure-
The platform will be a G17.
The sight will be a Trijicon RMR Type 2 .
Get over all the Glock hate, and how much cheaper other sights are. This is what I want, and I'd like to hear advice on getting it done.
I have a gen 5 G17, but it is not an MOS model. Do I have the slide cut for the RMR? And if so, can someone offer recommendations on who to do the work?
Do I buy a new slide with the RMR cutout already there? Most the slides I've seen are roughly the same price as a G17MOS. That doesn't seem like a logical choice, but maybe someone has a good reason why that's the best option.
And lastly, do I just buy a whole new G17MOS?
Thanks for any help based on y'all's experiences with this setup, and why you liked/didn't like whatever choices you made.

Send in both your RMR and your slider to Jagerwerks - http://jagerwerks.com/

They cut my slide, refinished it with their standard finish and mounted the RMR. Each RMR could vary ever so slightly so having the actual RMR thats going to get mounted ensures that you have the best cut for that optic.

I like my MOS due to it having the posts and screw to keep it secured. But, you can get the rmr lower/deeper going aftermarket and/or milling

Edit....I've changed batteries twice and it was still zeroed.
