Never feels good to have a bad encounter with a member and not be able to leave negative feedback.

Good day folks. I have enjoyed my time buying, selling and trading here. I have always honored my obligations and met some great people. In this instance if feel like I got the short end of the stick. Here is the story. I saw a revolver pop up that I had really been looking for. The condition looked good and the price was right. I sent a pm and we set a time and place. On the day of our meet, the guy sent me a pm that he was called into work. I am fair guy and can wait but now the guy won't respond to my pms. I left a voice mail and have done all I can do to make the deal easy for the guy. I'm giving him his asking price, driving to his location, gave him my phone number, well today his time is up. I see that he is still active and posting other items so I don't see extenuating circumstances preventing him from returning my pms. I know blah, blah, blah but I'm a fair guy and am hesitating. The guy has over 100 deals with a %100 rating. I just don't understand someone wanting to jeopardize that. I need input. Give the guy a negative or let it go? Thanks to all in advance?

I'm not reading the nearly 40 responses on this topic. This is all that's needed for a negative if the other party backed out, which he did.

If I agree to a price, time and place to buy something and the seller tries to UP the price, I'll absolutely be leaving a neg and it sure as heck better stick.

Jahoosafat, did the seller agree/confirm the deal (price/time/place) via PM, or did you send a PM with a proposed time and place when he stopped responding?

If the former and you had a confirmed deal on both ends, I agree strongly with the others with leaving the negative feedback so we know not to deal with him (or do so very cautiously), people are sick of dealing with lowlifes with no integrity. However, if he didn't confirm or agree to your proposal, there wasn't an agreement and I'd just move on.

CD, yes the seller agreed to a firm deal on price, time and location and it is all in P.M., his time allowance for his "couple if days due to work" runs out this afternoon. I will try to contact him one more time and then post a neg. I am going to alert the mods and let you guys know how it turns out. I have always honored my word, I guess that I just expected him to do the same. We shall see how it plays you. Again, thanks to all of the good upstanding members here. I do appreciate the input.
