No Shoulders decided to change clothes in my back yard this week. While cutting my grass today

, I came across this skin. Good guy?. It was away from the house down by the marshy area in my back yard. What say you?

If you have the tail piece you can tell if it's venomous.

Look at the underside and you will probably see that it goes from one scales to 2 scales per row after the butthole. That means harmless snake. If it's one all the way to the tip it's venomous.

Probably just a rat snake.

Also, they shed is a lot bigger than the snake is actually. Looks like one of the many constrictor types living in GA. Good snake and even better if it is a king snake.

I was really glad to see it. I cut one up earlier in the year, didn't see him in time with the weed eater. I got woodchucks in my back yard so I know they (snakes) are there. Don't want the bad guys around though.
