Good knife sharpener?

I am ashamed to say that with all my hunting experience over the years and cleaning critters, I have never really become a master at sharpening knifes. I'd really love to become good at sharpening my own knives.

I have everything from stainless Cases to knives made of super hard metal that keep an edge through 3 or 4 deer cleanings, but then become a devil to sharpen on the junk sharpeners I have currently. I am ready to buy a good knife sharpening setup.

Any recommendations?

I've got one of those knives that are super hard to sharpen. Honestly I've never been able to get the edge as sharp as it first was.

I use a stone that I've had for years. Works well enough BUT I bought one of these as a gift for a friend. It is awesome and very easy to use - will be shaving hair in no time!
$60 bucks at Cabelas and they had one out you could try before you buy.

My sister in law is a hairdresser. They have a guy that comes around and sharpens all their scissors. That **** ain't cheap. I think her scissors are like $1200-$1300.

I use this cheap knife sharpener for non-ceramics. I use it for my carry Kershaw as well. Then I glide them on a honing rod. Slice right through paper.

When I'm not lazy, I'll use a whetstone(coarse and fine), then honing rod and maybe hone on leather.
