Good weekend on the trout stream.

Take him to Black Mountain, in Suches..Get him hooked on fishing at the trout ponds..Then take him over towards the hatchery streams...He will be hooked for life...

He loves to fish. We catch bass all the time at a couple local ponds. We watch some guys catching trout out of a stream on you tube a while back and he thought the fact that they were standing in the water was the greatest thing ever lol
Congrats man!! Now that turkey season is over for me, I plan on hitting the trout streams In a couple of weeks.
Rock Creek and Wildcat Creek are my go to places for trout. My favorite is by far Wildcat just because I have been fishing it since I was a little kid and I know where to go to catch the fish when no one else can.
Theres one spot on Rock creek thats a short distance from the road, downhill from the road and theres a steep drop off to the water and a log out in the creek. I found it a couple of times and can't seem to remember where it is any longer. Lots of big ones in there.

Rock creek has a lake, they stock it as well.
I dunno man, I made a trip to the chatooga last year and that was some amazing trout fishing.
Time to fire up the deep fryer!
