Quite possibly. They’re definitely a scammer, asking for deposits and all.
At least the account getting deactivated will throw a stick in their spokes temporarily.

Turn the info (email/phone/etc, over to law enforcement. They may already be working a case involving that person. No telling who all has been burned by them.
