Grip change

Want to change grip on my AR 15. Does not have slotted screw but has round head bolt. Tried all my allen wrenches but none seem to fit. Does not appear to have any shoulders in the hole. Looks like same bolt as on my S&W 15-22. Anybody know what wrench will work? Any help will be appreciated.

I've noticed there's been a number of views on your question, and no replies. I wish I had an answer for you. Do you think it may be a torx head, or maybe an odd metric sized hex head? May be metric? You're probably gonna have to get a flashlight and magnifying glass out to see what ya got. Any info on the make and model would probably also be helpful. Often if I have a similar problem a call to the manufacturer straightens it right out.

Metric allen. If you need to, use a washer.
