Ground Floor Apartment Flooded - Need Insight and knowledge PLEASE

I'd be demanding to move to another apt in the complex

Hard to live there while they are hosing everything with bleach
Which is what you gotta do when you get a sewage flood

You absolutely will want a dehumidifier after removing all you can with a wetvac. Especially if you have carpet. You also might consider calling servpro or something similar.

Servpro are insurance chasers the cost will be astronomical. I would not take any action unless landlord authorized.

You need photos and request in writing

1. Yes, you need a professional remediation service (servepro, etc.) 2. Yes, they are astronomical. 3. Yes, it's the landlord's responsibility. 4. The dehumidifiers need to be industrial size, not hardware/big box store variety. They'll need to run for a week +. 5. The fecal bacterial, etc is a major concern as well. 6. Be in contact with your renter's insurance immediately. They might be able to guide you with the delegation of responsibilities between them and the landlord's insurance. 7. Good luck and hang in there!
