Grounds Hornets, Yellow Jackets

I have used a bucket full of hot water and Dawn dish cleaner to kill red ants. Add six tablespoons to the bucket. Works on wasp nest too. Wait for night so they are in the nest.

Years ago, we just piles up some brush and burned them out. The Dawn is a bit cleaner and safer.

Gas may work, but wasp and hornet killer (You know, The stuff that's designed for the task) works a lot more efficiently and effectively with better residual effect.
I usually tape a piece of aquarium tubing to a 12' bamboo pole and shove one end into the spray nozzle, wait till after dark put the hose in the hole and give those suckers a full can wasp and hornet spray enema.

I had yellow jackets this year and two cans of Wasp & Hornet spray did nothing. My neighbor, the exterminator, killed them with a dust he sprays in the nest. He did that in broad daylight saying they are too busy getting away from the dust to worry about stinging.
