Ok.... So I guess it is time for me to buy the wife a gun. Given that this will be for the house when I travel and for carry in the purse, what do yall suggest. I had a DB 380 without night sights but she sucked with it. She could not see the painted sights very well. Maybe the night sight model would be better but the trigger pull is 6 miles long. I have a Sig 238 that is awesome but dont know if I want to spend that kind of money. I have heard good things about the Bodygaurd 380. What else would be a good option for me? Not looking for a revolver. Thanks

Ruger LCP, slips right in the back pocket and you forget it's there. Only complaint is the long DA trigger pull, but not made to be a target gun, just a self defense pistol.

Yea I would suggest a sub compact 9mm. Glock 26, M&P 9c, or something along those lines. You get more energy, more rounds and it is no harder to control the recoil(probably easier). Should be able to find either for $450 or cheaper.

wallace the s&w bodyguard is an excellent pistol and the laser is factory set dead on,i highly reccomend it,but the ruger lcp is lighter providing you dont get the one with the laser,if you do it will prob. weigh the same..but for a lady i think either one wld be fine.there are other choices out there but they prob. wont be practical for purse carry and concealability just my opinion..both of these guns i mentioned are of good quality..ive had both. still wish i had the bodyguard 380 though

My wife has a Ruger LCP. She tried that, the Body Guard 380, and another 380. She liked the Ruger hands-down. I liked the body guard better.
