Gun Shows: Does Anyone Go Anymore?

I stopped going when the Macon show was 2 bucks to park and 8 bucks at the door. 10 bucks to wander around arrogant dealers with overpriced common stuff. Oh and jerky and stamp collections and toys and the combat boot shining guy with about 700lbs of old fatigues and the guy who sharpens knives on a belt sander and the guy who repeatedly crackles the stun gun. Yeah no more gun shows for me.

I picked one up Friday at their shop for the same price. Their inventory is growing and I have also bought a Ruger ar556 and a lcs9 from them. I almost bought a 10-22 takedown with the bull barrell for 249 out the door but I have enough 22's

I like to go to the big RK shows down at the Expo Center, but that's about the only shows I go to anymore. While $12 is steep to walk thru the door, I'm usually there for 3-4 hours, I like hanging out and talking with fellow gun folks, and I usually learn a thing or two. If I happen to find a deal or two, that's cool, but just getting out of the house and enjoying a morning looking at guns is fine with me.

You can't go to the movies for $12 these days.

No movie at $12 could EVER compete with a $12 admission to the neckbeard festival.....EVER.
