Gun storage(Moving to a apartment)

Thanks for all the advice, I decided against the storage unit and also added some extra insurance for if god forbid something does happen. I'm gonna leave them at my parents house. They are really not gun people and don't like the idea of a ton of guns in there house, but didn't have many other options. I will have to keep my NFA stuff with me as my parents are not in my trust.

Or....who wants to hop on my trust and shoot my guns for the next year? Hahaha

I would not leave my guns in storage unit, also I think it said no guns in the fine print when I rented one. medium187mph medium187mph is the boss when it come to storage unit quesitons

I second not using a storage facility for firearms...

People do store them but I'd advise against it for not only theft but extreme temperature/humidity changes which could ultimately ruin your firearms even in a safe.

I do know a FFL who has been known to keep NFA items locked up for CUSTOM work for a friend or 2 but not sure what he charged them.

As far as this thread goes, You should probably request Mods to delete it. Just to keep your situation private and off the public forum on the internet for anyone to see, just my 2 cents.

PS- Moving boxes are super cheap at Home Depot or Lowes, buy enough to get you moved and return the unused boxes with the receipt. Line the insides of the boxes with cheap stretch trash bags before filling them up. Thank me later....

Stay safe and good luck with the move!

Can you add your parents on the trusts and store them at their place ?

At the very least. Get a large contractor tool box from lowes and bolt it to the floor
Those boxes are way stronger than a lot of "gun safes "
