If you are looking for automatics I would say used Glycine Combat or Combat Sub, Hamilton Khakis, Seiko Turtles or the Seiko SKX007 or 009. For quartz used Marathon TSAR.

I always buy used. New watches depreciate immediately upon being purchased but then hold that value very well from there on out. You can buy used and flip all day long either making money or breaking even and you will lose your arse ever single time buying new unless it's a Rolex.

Wow, this thread took off again!

Since I first replied, I’ve bought:

1993 Omega Seamaster 300 (quartz)
1969 Omega Speedmaster Mark II
1990’s Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute
New Hamilton Khaki Field
New Bulova Lunar Pilot (poor man's speedy)

And a dozen NATO straps.

I really dig vintage watches and am looking for a Zodiac, 60's Moonwatch, and Burdy's previously recommended Seiko. A Heuer Autavia is high on my list as well, but they are getting pricey.

Before the curse of the ODT, I had an Apple Watch.

I should of listened to you earlier in this thread. That is a beauty.
Thanks, I will help you find one if you want. I love spending other peoples money. I think I mentioned this before but if you use the Watch Recon app, you can set it up to alert you any time whatever watch you are looking for is posted for sale on any of the watch forums. Its the only way to go when looking for those that are rare and hard to find. In the meantime, I am going to push you a bit more.:becky:
