Just did a slight upgrade to my set-up. I now have a Burris MTAC 4.5-14 x 42 with 30mm tube. It has the Ballistic Milling reticle, which I'm going have to warm up to, but I'll give it a "shot" tomorrow.

New scope range report!

CCI Standard Velocity 40 grain.

I mounted the new Burris on my rifle last night. I got it to where I thought I was going to like it, and started sighting it in at 25 yards to see if I would hit paper... It took me a few shots to get it centered, but as you can see it dialed right in fairly quickly.

I then moved my target out to 50 yards. I knew I would have to dial it in again at the longer distance but as you can see it didn't take much. The sad thing is, I was not happy with the alignment of the scope. So before shooting it I decided to move the scope just a little bit.

After getting the scope where I wanted it, I was able to tweak it in pretty tight. I'm still not 100% satisfied with the alignment of the scope, so I think I'm going to keep working on it until I get it just right. Other than a couple of Flyers, the groupings we're pretty good considering the wind tonight was about 10 miles per hour. Each target is 10 rounds.
