Independent of all he did, he VOLUNTEERED to join the military, go to war, go into combat. And refused to carry a weapon.

How many others have refused to join for that same reason.

Where's the *****? (Although I had something of the same opinion when I heard of the movie, due to the nature of recent 'war' movies that have come out - until this thread at least, thanks.)

Listen to Rush today and he said that Mel Gibson sent him a DVD of the movie for him to watch...He said it was great and also said the opening was about young boys playing in the Blue Ridge Mountains..And that they were climbing rock cliffs and doing things many kids did back in the 50-60s having fun...That would be frowned on with today's libertarian society. I can remember jumping off the Flood gates in the keys, and climbing up 50 ft coral walls to do it again.. Childhood memories that last a life time..Back before all the computer crap, Black berrys, twitter, tweet, Video games of which the only I have played, are pong, and Pack man..I guess I grew up leaning how to gain a set of balls the best way..Oh and yes I still use a 10+ yr old flip up cell phone.
