GeauxLSU, it amazes me what they catch off that pier. I've seen pics of Dolphin (Mahi-Mahi) caught on that thing.
I lived in Galveston for 8 years and fished the piers every weekend. Out there, the water is brown from freighter traffic and drilling mud being dumped at offshore rigs. You can see down 20 feet, the water is so clean and clear in Gulf Shores.
