There you go. I hate big banks but these situations are handled a lot better by most of them. BB&T bent over backwards when this happened to me.
My bank also... They have been great!

You're right. Just like our government is a Democratic Republic but it seems most have chosen Socialism. My sincerest apologies to all the non-Communist Chinese credit card thieves out there ....You do realize the government is communist and most of the people probably would choose something different? Not to mention the person could have been charging from anywhere.

I don't think it would help. The WILLFULLY ignorant will not be educated. There were more than enough "man on the street" interviews after the election to paint as clear a picture of our unavoidable future as could be.Maybe some people here need to enjoy the working conditions over there for a couple years to truly appreciate what we got.
Well I didn't get my money back instantly like you guys did. My bank told me to contact all these companies and ask for a refund basically because it was a fraud and now I have to wait for them all to get back to me. It seems this might not go in my favor. but the bank did say if the companies don't cooperate they will go into legal action to get my funds back.
I use my debit card at ATMs only ever since the time my debit card info was stolen. If a credit card is stolen then I have less access to credit on that account (though I don't believe in paying interest so I never have much of a balance). If a debit card is stolen then there is no legal obligation for them to immediately give you YOUR money back. If you're smart and have savings and an emergency savings account (which is obviously not linked to your debit card account) then you will manage, but it's still a pain. If you aren't in a position to do that (like many people in America) then the money for your bills which you had is gone until the federal time limit is reached or your financial institution decides to give you your money back. That's not a good position to be in.
