Just curious if any Sig MCX Rattler owners out there have seen the new MCX Canebrake Rattler? There's several slight differences between the regular Sig MCX Rattler and the Canebrake. The question is... Would it be worth it to hold off on the new Canebrake Rattler for roughly the same price as the regular rattler? I have posted a link below from eurooptic. Thoughts? Opinions?

I want one!

The differences that I can see visible would be the addition of a longer handguard, a faux suppressor, new side folding pistol brace, new color scheme and flat trigger. The price on eurooptic seems to be reasonably priced and in some instances actually cheaper than the regular rattler. I'm wondering if Sig figured out that the original rattler was overpriced as is for a 5.5" barrel? I'd like to place my order. Might be a waiting list for this one folks?

Burdy Burdy ... I think he's the first one to really get the whole canebrake design down before Sig actually released photos of it to the public. Im think Burdy must have some insight on this as he's built one from the ground up from what I've seen in his previous post.

Yes, thats pretty much all the differences. I spoke to the SIG rep to see if there was internally anything different, and it wasn't mentioned. From a value standpoint, it seems like there is more there than the Rattler itself if the prices are indeed similar (I never checked). I guess the question is do you buy your trucks from the dealer already lifted with wheels on it, or do you buy the base truck and do it yourself. Everyone is different. This is just Sig doing what Sig does: release a product, and by the time they actually start shipping to the public, a new model (product improvement) is introduced. Sig is very innovative, but the consumers are the beta testers. As long as you know what you are getting into, you will like being on the Sig train, but if not, you will be highly frustrated trying to keep up with the latest models.
I don't run many of their products, but the MPX and Rattler (MCX) are highly underrated IMO.

Oh, and no, I had no insight to the Canebrake. Maybe Sig was watching ODT and copying my work! Haha.

Sig is trying to cash in on the current trends.
Dark earth.
Different brace.
New hand guard...Ect.

Very smart of them.

They just need to put Burdy on the payroll...Lol.

They need to set up a Class 3 kiosk like SilencerCo as well.

All that said I paid less than $1900 for my Rattler and would not have paid over $2k for it.
Awesome little beast.

Burdy must be on sigs payroll! lol He's got the hottest trends down that consumers actually desire! Burdy for Sig president 2020!

I'm most likely looking to trade one of my 2011 competition guns that I have for sale on ODT for one if someone is interested. If not I'll probably splurge and drop the coin on the Canebrake despite it being on backorder.
