I'm kicking this idea around and have been told it's pretty easy, but I want to do it right. I'd like your thoughts.
Has anyone tried to create an LLC without a lawyer?

Yes, my business partner and I have formed LLC's and S-Corps using legalzoom.com Nothing to it but to do it.
I used a lawyer and spent way to much to have it drawn up. Turned out to be the best money I ever spent. Don't do anything without a LLC first.
last one i did took me 10 min and cost 110 bux.. go online to ga sec of state office..then to corp fillings.

DO NOT USE LEGALZOOM FOR A SIMPLE GEORGIA LLC.
You can file it online with the state yourself.
Use a lawyer if you are going to be involving any body besides yourself. If you are a simple single member LLC, just file it online yourself. Keep your own minutes.
You can get state and federal id numbers same day yourself. After that, open a bank account. You are now an entity. It is very easy. Don't over think it.
Again, do it yourself if you are starting up with no capital. If you are using other people's money, use a local lawyer ($200-$300). Do not use legalzoom.
