Should’ve cut away after 5, pulled reserve or BOC.

I was confused because the guy can see he doesn't have a good canopy and he kept wrestling with it instead of cutting away. My skydiving knowledge/experience is pretty limited, so maybe I'm misunderstanding the situation.

I never had to do that, if I had my parachuting career would have ended right then and there.

Negative pressure on canopy will do this every time, one has to ask how it got to that point? wind gust? or a maneuver went wrong ........... need more info on how he ended up horizonal to the ground ... if it was him ..Well the old saying F-around you'll find out

I tried it 3 times - had a streamer on my last training jump which fortunately corrected itself. I didn't even realize it but I knew I wouldn't been able to shed that chute and then open the safety. That was enough for me!!
