Heart Rate Monitors for Cardio Training

I use the garmin edge 200 but it doesn't have a heart rate monitor and my ride is a alluminum framed specialized allez. Love both. Not top of the line, but both work for me. I would love a full carbon filber. In time hopefully.

Build it. Look up carbon frames on www.Aliexpress.com these are the same frames as the big names, just unbranded.

I used to do group rides 3 times per week. Then I started doing half-commutes. Drive 30 miles to work, ride the bike home. Ride the bike to work, drive home. Repeat. I got hit by a car 2 years ago and have up road biking. I stick to Urban Assault or Mountain Biking now.

I have a Polar FT60 with a chest strap that I use when I run. I have had it for 9 months and have had no issues. I also have a Garmin 310XT that adds GPS to the heart rate monitor. I've had that one for 4 months and have loved it each time I have used it.

My brother rode with doc this morning and said he was blazing fast.

Your brother hammered it today as well, 45 mile ride and he was with me all but the last half mile. He's gotten very strong on the bike and took his share of hard pulls today.

Shane builds damn good bikes and you won't find a better, more honest, great service place than his shop in Dalton. Can't say enough good about them. That bike of mine he built and included a picture of in this thread is insanely fast. Especially with someone like me who isn't smart enough to know better mashing on the pedals!
