Heretic Knives are really growing on me...

Heard the button is much easier to fire. Was worried about it accidentally firing while in a pocket. Any concern there?

Double action OTF's cannot fire accidentally really. The blade is never under spring tension when at rest. There is a locking bar on each end of the handle inside that holds the blade firmly in place... When you press the button forward, that stretches the spring and provides the energy, that is building up against that locking bar the more you push that button forward or back... When you push it forward or back about 80% of its travel, you have built up several lbs of spring pressure, and it's at that point that a ramp on the button pushes the locking bar out of the way, allowing that pent up spring pressure to propel the blade.

But just sitting there, its inert. Knives like side openers or the MT Halo, basically "cock" the spring, like the hammer on a pistol, and pressing the button releases it. Those knives have the blade stored in a constant state of spring tension...
