How many of you are into Bowie knives?

I like the blade design. A knife to me is a tool to be used. So I don't need an oversized blade to perform task

I have quite a few of them. I’ve always had a weakness for Bowie knives.

My elk horn Bowie made by an old friend from Douglasville. It’s an outstanding knife. He was in his 80’s when he made this for me. He has passed on now so this one is special.

I’ve made a few and like them. The one has been a great chopper for a few years. The other one still needs a sheath….that’s as far as I got a couple years ago. Ended up paralyzed for a little while so it’s been in a drawer since.
