"High End" bolt actions

The q fix has my attention. Do I want to drop 5k+ to rig out a platform that will sit in a safe?

8.6 suppressed is devastating though. Still on the fence.

10k for a rem 700 build is a waste of money IMO. Don't care how it shoots.
Im not sure how one could put 10k into an m700.

Yup, for me, and many others that I shoot with, the mindset is to control variables. There are so many inputs that go into a long range shot that it can be easy to get lost in the weeds. Seen it many, many, many times. At the end of the day, it's all physics. It's simple in nature, but complicated in practice. If I am missing, I need to know why and how to correct - on the fly.

Start by putting together a solid rifle. Put good ammo through it. Put good, accurate glass on top of it in a good mount. Then verify.

Start with a solid base, so everything else is the indian/the shooter/ME. If I am missing, I know that it is me. Position, trigger pull, wind call, inputs into the ballistic calculator. Etc. I can fix me on the fly. It's much more difficult to fix the rifle, scope or ammo when you are on the line. Generally speaking, the harder i plan to use a rifle (or handgun, or knife, or car, or bicycle, etc), the more money I put into. It needs to work. Through the elements, through adverse conditions, through drops and bangs, for more rounds and with higher pressure loads.

And that consistency, quality and durability generally cost money.

Another note on the whole argument is that "expensive" or "gucci" or whatever someone wants to call it to feel better about themselves is a sliding scale and there is no real number. And personal finances play a further role into the "definition."

Poors are gonna poor. It's what they do. It's simply envy, no matter how poor tries to mask their feelings.

My rifles are so nice and set up so well that when I miss it’s 100% my fault.
