"Back in the day"(1975)........we had a mechanic working for us that said he claimed he could light up a florescent blub by touching it to his antenna, when he ran his liner amplifier.....he never illustrated that to us however...it "Was at his house".....

In old, poor Soviet Union, guys who lived in the boonies near high-broadcast tv & radio broadcast antenna’s told us they’d run 100 yard+ long horizontal dipole wire antenna’s hardwired to a couple incandescent lightbulbs in their small homes for free indoor lighting

You don't need the wire in high rf field. They dance with the modulation. A site like the woodpecker would put on a nice lightshow

My first CB radio only had 23 channels.

Still have my Cobra SSB base and Palomar amp.
Wish I still had my PDL IIs. Really need to get it hooked back up....

I keep mine set up. although I rarely turn it on, I have a President 2510 and Ranger 6300 (100 watt) and an Antron 99 75' in a pine tree.
Them Tigas looking pretty good !

That 2510 and the Antron were top of line!
Especially with the ground plains on.
