HK VP9 or GLOCK 26

Decisions decisions! i need some input from some fellow firearm enthusiast. I am torn between the Glock 26 or HK VP9, now i know they are different all around firearms, but they both do the same thing at the end of the day. SO, if you had to choose one, which one and why?? Thanks!

Well the VP9 is closer to a Glock 17 in size. The VP9 SK is similar to the G26. I'm going to buy a VP9 SK for carrying. I currently carry a G19 or Ruger LC9.

Yeah i own a G17 gen 4 and love it, i just sent it off to get some stippling done. So, i am gonna get something to carry until the 17 is finished. I don't mind carrying full sized pistols, but i wanted to see if anyone who has owned both or even one of the two opinions.

HK... but there is nothing wrong with Glock. I've just always been partial to HK.

Actually the VP9 is probably closer to the G19 in size since they have the same barrel length and capacity. That said I wouldn't pit the two against each other. Sure they all go bang but which one you should get depends on if you want to sacrifice capacity for size or sacrifice capacity for concealability. I have a G26 and a G19 and they both get used at different times for different purposes. G19 or in your case the VP9 is probably the best overall choice but my G26 goes with me on a lot of occasions.

Yup, I agree completely. Had a VP9, practically same size as my G19, but the grip may be a little longer, which could give a G17 feel in the hand. I absolutely loved the VP9, very accurate and the grip is very ergonomic, as is several other pistol platforms on the market, which I like much better than the Glock grip. Gotta keep the vp9 clean as a whistle tho, no abuse of this one, not like a Glock which will run under some abusive conditions, if any of that means anything to you. Pro and Con both ways for you to ponder.

I have owned multiple glocks, but haven't owned an HK. I have heard great things about them and then of course people have their opinions. If i were to go with the HK, i am getting a pretty good deal on it. (550) brand new.

I'd go with the 26. Same trigger as your 17, and can use the 17 mags as well. Will fit the same holster too probably.

Shoot them both, and then make your decision. I own all of the firearms people have commented about, and I like my VP9 a lot more than my G26.
