Hog and coyote season

I went to Redlands. Down by the river.
Been out three times since the end of turkey season. Seen hogs every time.
Got winded, no shot.
Forgot my rifle (stupid me), missed with the pistol.
Shot these 2 tonight.

I went out to a WMA this morning after my shift ended and found a lot of pig sign. I covered a good bit of ground but sign was all that I found. The one area I focused on had fresh, fairly recent and also some old sign, all around a huge wallow, so I’ll likely revisit this spot often. They definitely go there to wallow quite often. There were numerous trails converging on the wallow, all coming down drainages that were full of sign too, so I’ll have my head on a swivel come tomorrow morning.
That open area behind my rifle is one huge wallow.
Miss Piggy has made it to the smoker. Pulled pork sandwiches galore!!!

No luck yet but saw plenty of hog and turkey sign.
Found quite a few deer beds and two illegally parked lock on climbers in the NF.
