Hog Hunting for free/cheap?

Not sure where your located. Fort Stewart charges $70 for a year permit. Kill all the hogs you can handle. I've taken 35 this year.
Fort Benning charges the same and I killed 70 there last year.

I just cannot believe you shot 70 pigs. I am happy if I bring one with me home for the season.

Where do you go? Albama or Georgia side?

I hunted both sides. My buddy and I shot so many out of the Alabama side of post that we had hunters say they had never seen so few hogs...lol

I'm back at Fort Stewart now and I've taken 48 so far this year.

Go to the Fort Benning website and look under the MWR or Outdoor Recreation.
If it hasn't changed, you have to be Active Duty, Retired, or be sponsored by one to hunt there. Fort Stewart lets anyone hunt that pays.

I hunt fort gordon and they allow a limited amount of civilians to hunt. I think the number is 250ish. Just have to apply. I think everyone that applied was accepted. I'd like to pick your brain later this year. I've been contemplating doing some hog hunting on Stewart. I think some of my buddies and I might do it after loading up the freezer with venison.

Feel free

I'd love to go if anyone wants to take me and a friend or two out. I've been hunting these mountain hogs for so long with no luck. Tons of sign but no luck
