Looking for a good spot to go hog hunting. I hear Oaky Woods is decent but no current confirmations? Anyone have any leads/advice?

Oaky woods has hogs, but like most public land, you'll have to hunt hard most often to be successful.
Fort Stewart or Fort Benning...chock full of hogs.

Bond Swamp NWR is crawling with hogs too. Only catch is you have to go on the quota hunts or during small game season, which then has a weapon restriction. I have no interest in shooting at the hogs there with a .22 or muzzleloader during small game season.
Can't blame you there. A 22 is certainly not a safe hog weapon.....
A .22 is a bit scary. Does Ft. Benning allow use of a 30.06?
Maybe from a treestand with a well placed head shot, but not my weapon of choice for spot and stalk.
Some of the pigs there are quite large. I've seen several large boars and killed 1 over 300# with 3" cutters.
The Bond Swamp quota hunts are deer and hog hunts and big game weapons are allowed. That is the best time to go, but it's not wise to do a spot and stalk hunt while others are there deer hunting.
They draw for that hunt in Sept every year.
Anyone have any info on Hanahatchee Creek WMA? The problem with Ft Benning is they don’t seem to have a weapons registration for Saturday.
