I have given up on DeWalt: I have bought 4 of them in the last several years and the keyless chucks supplied with them loosen after drilling about three holes (I know..definition of stupidity). I will try one of these Ryobi's, thanks for the tip

Well, if Dewalt didn't work out, I'd try Makita or Milwaukee. I've used Makita for years, have never had a tool or battery go bad. I have some Makita batteries that are 5 years old and they still hold full charges.
 
The website seems to imply that the sale is on now, but it's not working. I wouldn't mind having the cordless pole saw for light pruning once a year. It's got great reviews and for $99 is hard to beat.
