The GDOT is building a new high rise condominium complex for them at the I-16/I-75 interchange and Spring Street Bridge exit in Macon. It's going to be nice. I've reserved my spot on the penthouse level.

Anyone notice the mess of a homeless camp under the Jackson Street Bridge overpass on I75 SB @I20. Literally got their **** in the openings of the concrete columns like its a bum condominium.

Not new. Was there before I retired in 2008. Used to leave blankets and bags of clothes for them.

Heres a topic for consideration. All these churches and private company 501C foundations like the feel good stories of "helping the homeless" but are they really helping? Or are they enabling?

Most of these folks ive seen for years. They never want food, only money. Yet Churches line up weekly to give to them. Why arent they helping the single parent living in their car working two jobs struggling to keep their kids fed. Those are the people that really need and would appreciate the help.

Thats my rant for today.
