Now it makes sense, thanks j for clearing that up. Leave it to you to be on top of things. Not so sure that would hold up to the weight of the Mossberg. I would hate to invest all the time needed to construct such a behemoth, only to have it fail to hold up under the strain of the considerable heft of my mighty weapon...

You could buy a couple 1" x 3ft strips of stainless or aluminum from home depot, and do the same thing. It would hold more weight, and probably not cost more than 10 or 15 bucks.

That is awesome....i was trying to set-up a cost effective bedside pistol solution (without having it in plain site on the dresser)....That would indeed do the trick!!!!
