A man who sits in prison because he said things the .gov like. Aft busted him for marketing the "auto key card", which was a metal credit card lookin thing with a lightning link etched in it. Aft could not cut it out and use it to successfully convert a gun into a machine gun. But that didn't stop the state from successfully blocking the fact that it never worked as alleged from the jury inductions.
i have respect for him for seeing it through in court without caving. The scary part was that the conviction and trial all occurred after the Bruen decision.
Dude was 100% falsely imprisoned as was Kristopher Irvin who is in prison in Jesup. Mainly because a rude teller didn't explain to him why he should not withdraw $50k. The book is in the link below. letusbuyyourcars description of what happened is way better than mine.
He got ****ed REAL hard for just advertising a flat piece of sheet metal the size of a credit card with a Lazer etching of a Lightning Link. Worse than that he even asked his local ATF field agent if it would be a legal problem and got the o ahead.
Now remember HE did NOT make these cards just advertised them . But the guy that did make them got cased up for that and "Structuring" which is a banking term that means you're trying to deposit a lot of money and stay under the $10K Fed alert amount.
But wait it gets better. When he went to trial the ATF Expert Witness said under oath that they could only get the links to work one time in one specific machine gun lower that they had. That's because it was a NOVELTY ITEM and sold as such. So the fact that it would NOT function in 99% of AR rifles didn't matter.
The horrible point here is that some random YouTube guy got sent to club fed for nothing more than advertising a product.
The CRS channel is still on YouTube with Matt's wife posting videos occasionally to give updates about the case and appeal process. It's kinda hard to watch. I really feel for them.
The US Marshals handled his arrest. He said they got him in his car and did a felony stop on him.
My guess is that the aft was actually scared and so they outsourced it. They'll be in the stack as long as they are relativity certain it will be a one sided affair.
