Homeschool Anyone??

If I had kids they would never refer to themselves as "citizens". Research the history of that word. There is a reason it was chosen.

I have. thats why you have never head me use the word "Civilian" even when I was in the Military I still refered to non military members as "Citizens" and not "Civillians"

A Citizen has rights....Civillians do not.

Sounds like the kid, not the schooling. You cant fix stupid.

^^^^^ What he said.... I'll take my chances as opposed to what they are exposed to in public schools. I bet you my kid won't be able to buy drugs from her classmates at my homeschool.... Can't always control what they do when they grow up but they won't be introduced to that at our homeschool....

If you read the military manuals, "Inhabitant" trumps all. They are to be left alone to go about their business and to interfere with them is a criminal offense.

True...very good point. Problem is....we both know people will never be "left alone to go about their business"

There is a school in Powder Springs where the kids attend on Tuesday and take the test, the rest is all self study at home.

will post up the name if I can think of it.

I home schooled my child up to 6th grade, 7th grade and half of 8th grade she went to a charter school, BIG mistake as they suck, then we finished her 8th grade with home school.
finally put in public school for highschool so she'd have a social network and friends instead of sheltering her and her running wild when she goes off to college.

Homeschooling has it's place but I think when they reach high school they need to be around other students.

not at all, mine is blooming, she's captian of the color guard, is a straight A student, has great group of close friends and is enjoying life. School is full of choices good and bad and it's our job to raise them up properly and trust they'll make the right ones. home schooling up until HS was the right choice for us.
