Anyone with an importation license can continue to import Russian ammo for as long as the license is valid. This just stops anyone from getting a new one after the September deadline. Not to mention, a lot of steel case ammo is manufactured in Warsaw Pact countries not named Russia. We will be completely fine for the next 2 years or so, and by that time they will have ramped up production in other European countries to meet demand. If everyone could just understand that and stop panic buying which drives demand and prices up and creates a false shortage. I feel like we should have learned this with gas and toilet paper by now, but oh well.

Each individual shipment of ammo from Russia must have its own ATF Form 6 permit. Individual shipment permits that have been previously approved prior to September will be allowed for import. After that, ALL permits will be denied. The permit approval process takes 4+ weeks, so effectively, from today on there will be no new approvals.
