This will increase all ammo prices and increase demand so it hurts everyone.

Or American manufacturers smarten up and fill the void. I dont think I've ever seen American made 7.62x39 or 5.45x39 on the shelves. I am sure theres remington corelokt or winchester power point type stuff floating around, but nothing in bulk that we see from overseas. Hopefully, someone here will fill the void, if there is one.

Manufacturers are running wide open as it is AND making more money than they ever have. Where is the incentive to expand (there is none) or switch their production from what is a sure bet to a maybe with competition from Russia in a year?

What we are missing is that the vast majority of "ak shooters" aren't that big of shooters in the first place. Are there exceptions? Of course. But, the majority of people who buy a x39 gun bought it due to cheap ammo and they rarely shoot it. Once the ammo is "expensive," they simply won't shoot or go back to their gun that shoots remington golden bullets and posting about how their wasr or psak with 4 mags through it is the greatest rifle ever created

Probably not, but I guess in my book thats good for a US manufacturer, makes it hard to find but doesn't sit on the shelves competing with a communist bloc nations product.
