I love some horseradish sauce on a low country boil, prime rib, venison backstrap etc. I can never find a horseradish that hits as hard as I’d like. I want it to be almost too much. Recommendations?

My all time favorite...but only available in certain regions.

the most strength you can get is from freshly dug root in the winter, ( after the leaves are gone for a while ) and like palmetto said, grind it yourself. I usually add some vinegar, salt, sugar and sour cream to it. I don't suggest having carbonated drinks after ingesting it. ask me how I know.
the commercially sold ones lack that strength
you can also fiddle with some wasabi products, it's the japanese horseradish and is known to give you that "almost too much " feel

The Hottest Horseradish that I have ever tasted is 2-3X hotter than Nasal Napalm. It is called Royal Bohemian Horseradish. It is so hot, that I am mostly unable to use it, as I have to tone it way down to acceptable levels. Should you order a bottle, can I suggest that you take a little fingernails worth first, before you unleash Hell-Fire into your sinus cavities and regret it instantly. Here is the link for purchase.

Yep, a good horseradish will make your sinuses cry uncle.
I like Silver Spring brand in the refrigerated section.
Always got a jar in our fridge.

St. Elmo's Steakhouse in Indy has some seriously strong cocktail sauce to go with their shrimp cocktail. Strongest I've had personally. Feels like the top of your head is coming off.

Trivia fact of the day....about 80% of the world's horseradish is grown in/around Collinsville, IL, right across the Mississippi from St. Louis.
